We left off at Pencilworks Gallery on the corner of Chestnut, let’s continue to head south and start with the center of Gallery Row.

Christiane David – 142 N Prince St

Always a powerful statement from the road looking in, Christiane David gallery is a mainstay of Gallery Row. This weekend you’ll catch Christiane painting and talking about her work. Take the time to browse and ask questions. Remember, ArtWalk is more contemplative than First Friday. You should linger and soak it in.

Liz Hess Gallery – 140 N. Prince St

Just back from a painting trip to the Emerald Isle, artist Liz Hess unveils her latest collection of paintings featuring her signature red umbrella with Ireland Calling. Sweeping coastal vistas, rolling green hills, quaint hamlets, fields of sheep, and brooding, misty seascapes for which Ireland is known serve as the background for the solitary figure with the red umbrella as it takes the viewer on a journey through Ireland. Liz Hess will be present.

Red Raven Art Company – 138 N Prince St

Always changing and ever-packed with new works, Red Raven is an aesthetic treat. “Stronger Yet…” explores watercolors by Matt Chambers. You can catch Matt on Saturday from 11 – 2 pm. Also showing is The Natural Cycle: oils by Brad Stroman.

Pennsylvania Arts Experience – 114 N Prince St

This is an amazing gallery featuring members of the Pennsylvania Arts Experience Artisan Trail – a group focused on getting art-lovers into artists’ studios.  Fiber artist Sue Reno debuts work from her new series, Flora and Fauna, where she examines in detail animals and plants commonly encountered in Lancaster County

Nearly next door continuing south on Prince, Criswell & Shreve is opening its collection for the weekend.

Julia Swartz Art Gallery – 17 N Prince St

The last stop on N Prince Street, Julia Swartz Art Gallery is directly upstairs from Prince St Cafe. Pop on in to see Julia demonstrating her paintings and absorb the energy found in an artist’s studio.
